Hindi + English voice chat
The Gossipers has 24/7 voice rooms for people who want company, conversation or just a quiet call in the background. Join muted, listen first and talk when you are ready.
The voice side
Not every voice call needs a topic. Sometimes you want a room with people in it while you study, work, play or scroll. Sometimes you want a full conversation at 1am. Both are normal here.

When the rest of the server slows down, the night owls keep a smaller, calmer call going.
Quiet calls for people who want background company while they finish an assignment or clear a inbox.
Music, low conversation and the kind of call you leave on while doing something else.
Switch languages naturally. Nobody is going to stop the conversation to grade your sentence.
No screaming, mic spam or making someone the punchline. Leaving a bad call is always allowed.
Indian hours
Most voice activity follows Indian evenings, but the server is not empty during the day. Drop in when you have time, not when a schedule tells you to.
“Sometimes the best call is five people quietly doing their own thing with a playlist running.”
Study calls, work sessions and short check-ins. Lower energy, fewer people, easy to join.
People finish classes or work, hop into a call and figure out the plan for the evening.
Gaming calls, watch parties and general conversation overlap. This is the busiest stretch.
The big calls thin out. A smaller group stays on for the conversations that always start with “okay but seriously…”
First time in VC?
The most common worry is “what do I even say?” The honest answer: nothing, until you want to. A voice channel is not a job interview with background music.
Voice etiquette
A good voice channel is not about having the best mic or the loudest personality. It is about being aware that other people are sharing the space. Mute yourself when you are eating, use push-to-talk in a noisy room and do not talk over someone who is already mid-sentence.
If you are new, start with a smaller call or a study session. They are usually quieter and easier to settle into than a full gaming lobby. Once you recognise a few voices, joining a busier call feels less like walking into a party where you know nobody.
Voice is also optional. Some members never join a call and still have a great time in the text channels. The make friends page covers the text-first route if that sounds more your speed.
Before you unmute
No. You can join muted and listen, use text chat instead, or type in the channel while the call is happening. Plenty of members listen first and talk later — or never turn on a mic at all.
Most people are not judging your accent or grammar. Start with short replies, use text if you need to, and join calls with people who are having a casual conversation. You can also stay muted until you feel comfortable.
The busiest stretch is usually Indian evening into late night, roughly 8pm to 2am IST. There is activity earlier in the day too, especially on weekends and around events.
Yes. Mic spam, screaming, soundboard abuse and harassment are against the rules. If a call becomes uncomfortable, you can leave and report the behaviour to the moderation team.
